At an early age, Brad Moore was always attracted to the sound of an electric guitar.  After several live concerts, the decision was made to learn to play the instrument he loved most on recordings.  At first, the focus was to learn to play the rock songs on the radio & learn the styles of other popular rock artists.  Soon after, Brad discovered Blues rock guitar and found that style very interesting also.

During high school & college, Brad also adapted some interesting acoustic playing. Having classical music study brought many new elements to the table as well. Being able to play fluent finger style on nylon or steel string acoustics, many songs are in the makings for this genre of music as well.

Many of the alternative rock artists at this time also used a very "clean" guitar sound which caught Brad's ear for the tonal aspect. At the same time, a heavier guitar sound was becoming popular with modern arena rock. His goal was to form a band fusing all of these different styles together. Many attempts were made, and lots of talented musicians were involved, but nothing ever fully panned out.

Frustrated, Brad soon turned to his own musical talents to produce the sounds heard in his head. It was not long after that when many instrumental guitar records were purchased & studied closely.

As many instrumental rock CD's were considered "classic" and full of guitar "licks", no full length CD was able to fully capture the melody & lyrical playing to which Brad had hoped for. There were segments & songs, but never an entire CD where melody was the forefront.

Soul To Strings was quickly born on the idea that guitar playing could still be technical, intense, but yet melodic in structure. Having nothing more than a drum machine & a multi-track recorder at hand, ideas continued to flow. Recording his own bass lines with multiple guitar parts (sometimes over 20 guitars playing at once!) the Soul To Strings brand really took off.
